Even though we had to have Comic Con from home again this year, Her Universe still dropped some new merch on us. I had the opportunity to pick up this Scarlet Witch dress…
It is very similar to the Disney Dress Shop dresses that Her Universe has designed. Difference is that this dress goes up to 5xl. Bad news is that this runs very small, so despite getting a 4 when I usually get a 3, it was still a bit tight.
My other gripe, and then I’ll stop, is that the fabric choices made (both for this dress and Disney Dress Shop) aren’t very soft. I’d like to see them go with a softer stretch fabric. There are plenty of fabrics that will hold their shape.
The dress is cute though. It can be dressed up or down, which I really like. I do love how they are making more formal dress less stuffy.
Hey there everyone! One of the trends happening now is the puffy sleeve tee. Upon my first look, I was “meh” about them, but once I snagged one on clearance and started to play with styling it, I was hooked and got a couple more colors.
One look I did come up with was with this cute Robin Hood spandex dress I got forever ago on Etsy. The shop doesn’t exist anymore, but I found a similar shop with size-inclusive items here.
I paired the dress with the aforementioned puffy sleeved tee from Target and created a really cute theme park or everyday casual look. I finished the look with my Loungefly backpack.
For my latest look, it isn’t a fandom-based look, but something that is very on-trend at the moment. That item is the mesh tee.
I know you are wondering if someone plus size can wear such a thing, and I’m here to tell you that, “Yes!”
I paired mine with a crop top and a high-waisted tube skirt. The high waist on the skirt really helps with any hesitation with the see-thru top. You aren’t showing near as much skin with it. Also, it is great way to wear the cute crop tops out there and not be worried about over-exposure.
Now, if you don’t have any trepidation, then go for it! No matter your size, you can wear whatever you want! I just liked pairing the two for my comfort level.
