Outfit of the Day: Classic Monster Skirt from Torrid

Our latest outfit of the day is to help you get ready for the spooky season.

This skirt from Torrid features the classic movie monsters of Universal Studios. I love how companies have been re-embracing the classics when it comes to Halloween. I grew up watching these movies on “Sci Fi Theatre” back in Arkansas in the olden times, and I absolutely love them.

The skirt is made from scuba, so it holds it shape nicely while being stretchy and comfy. The sweatshirt is from Target. I absolutely love the puffy sleeves on this shirt. It gives this very casual shirt a very fancy feel to it. Click on the links to buy.

Just as an fyi, Unique Vintage also has classic movie monster wear for this Halloween.

Outfit of the Day: Halloween Dresses from Rosegal

Our next outfit of the day, or outfits of the day, come from Rosegal.com.

Rosegal (and DressLily) have tons of inexpensive options for standard and plus sizes. It is a great place to shop for seasonal outfits, including these cute dresses I found.

First up is this hi-low celestial dress. The front is very short, so I would advise wearing leggings with it. I paired it with a cute vintage-inspired cardi from Amazon. Click on the links to buy.

Both sites run very, VERY small. So, please check the sizing with your body measurements and not what size you usually wear. Example is that both of these dresses I got in a 5xl. I usually wear a 2xl or 3xl, depending on the brand.

This next dress is so adorable, I will be wearing it almost daily until Halloween. The print is just so darn cute! Click on this link to buy. I also paired this one with the same cardi from Amazon, but in a pumpkin color. Belt is from Torrid.

In addition to the small sizing, a lot of the waistlines tend toward a more empire waist, just as an fyi. Both of these dresses fell on my natural waist, so that was also a pleasant surprise.

It takes a couple of weeks for orders to arrive, so I’d go ahead and get your shop on for Halloween now!

Happy Shopping!

Outfit of the Day: Blue Front-Knot Dress from Walmart

Our next outfit of the day comes from Walmart.

This front-knot style dress and shirts have been spotted everywhere lately! In addition to being on-trend, this dress is a comfy t-shirt dress that can be dressed up and down, depending on the function you are wearing it to.

I also love the color! However, if you don’t like the color, it is available in 12 different colors!

Pick up your own dress here. I paired it with a hat from Target, pentagram necklace from the Ren Faire (buy a similar one here), shades from Five Below and boots from Lane Bryant.

I wore this all summer with sandals and cute straw hats, but as you can see here, I’m getting you ready for Halloween!

When the book, “In Plain Sight” was published, I sent copies to various YouTubers and bloggers I admire. I was thrilled to see that Ordinary Adventures unboxed the book and really like it!

Please enjoy the whole video, but In Plain Sight content starts at 23:30.

Ordinary Adventures is a great YouTube channel to follow for fun nerdy content. I have been enjoying their videos for a year or so, and I highly recommend. They have positive and celebratory videos for tons of different fandoms. Click here to go directly to their channel.

OK, here we are with our first outfit of the day post-quarantine.

Well, I’m still working from home and will be for a while, but I am starting to go out for quick trips to Target, etc.

So, for when we all have somewhere nice to go again, here is this beautiful dress from Disney Dress Shop:

The artwork on this is just stunning. The fit is the same as most dresses from Disney Dress Shop, fantastic!

Even though it is difficult to shop Disney Dress Shop in person, you can still buy them online. Here is the link to the Ink & Paint dress.

Petticoat and shoes, from Amazon. Bag from Target. Ears are from a 7-11 in Anaheim (seriously!). Faux pearls from Claire’s ages ago. Click on links to buy.
